Banpu NEXT, a leading Net Zero Solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region, and SolarBK, a leading clean energy company in Vietnam, have established a joint venture company, providing solar power development to the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector in Vietnam. This marks a significant milestone in both companies’ commitment to expanding the renewable energy portfolio in Vietnam and driving the country’s Net Zero goal.
The joint venture between Banpu NEXT and SolarBK has been set up under the shared vision and cooperative spirit of both companies that aims to expand the scale and model of providing renewable energy solutions to businesses and communities. In the initial phase, this JV targets to deploy at least 390 MW of rooftop solar power within the first few years, offering a variety of comprehensive green energy solutions for businesses seeking a greener and smarter energy transition. Particularly, these include export manufacturers, eco-industrial parks, high-tech parks, and companies such as data centers. This move aligns with Vietnam’s ambitious renewable energy goals*, with electricity generation projected to reach 124.57bn kWh by 2025 and an anticipated annual growth rate of 3.35%. The country’s rapid expansion in this sector, driven by government incentives and a growing commitment to sustainable development, makes Vietnam a prime market for this collaboration’s services.
